Although the city has completed the Southwest Neighborhood Plan, it is still possible for residents to become involved in implementing the proposed changes and allocating the funding that will be coming from the city's Community Development Block Grant program.

After Mayor Dave Cieslewicz accused the American Transmission Co. of avoiding input from Madison on a proposed southern route for a new transmission line planned for Dane County, Mark Williamson, ATC vice president of major products, said the company will hold a public meeting in Madison.

The open house is scheduled for Aug. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Alliant Energy Center.  read more »
